This course prepares the participant to teach Adult Child, and Infant CPR to layresponders and non health care workers.

Pre class requirements:

Must be certified in basic level Adult CPR AED

Must complete the online portion of the Instructor Course

This class prepares the participant to teach basic level CPR to non health care workers, giving them the knowledge, and skill to give care to someone in sudden cardiac arrest.

Pre class requirement:

Must be certified in basic level CPR

Must complete the online portion of the Instructor Course

This course prepares the participant to teach basic level CPR to layresponders and non health care workers. 

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to teach Adult, Child, and Infant First Aid CPR and AED.

As a Basic Life Support Instructor, you will prepare students with knowlege, and skills to perfrom High Quality CPR, give care to someone in Respiratory arrest, an obstructed airway, and opoid overdose. Also prepare students to perform High quality BLS with a multi rescue team.

Requirements to become an BLS Instructor:

Must be accepted and aligned To an AHA Training Center

Must be certified as a BLS provider

Must complete the online BLS Instructor Essentials Course (shopcpr.heart.org)

Must schedule and complete a class monitoring after completing the Instructor Course.

As a Basic Life Support Instructor, you will teach and prepare students how to perform BLS as part of a multi rescue team with other trained responders, also with a focus on the cardiac chain of survival. and how to perform High Quality BLS for an Adult child and Infant.
